The world's most complex machine
I have seen an uptick in content being posted about chip manufacturing lately - likely at least in part due to the increased awareness of how much our economy currently relies on our ability to create rocks that 'think' (i.e. microchips!). EUV tech has been a fascination for me for a while, and this morning Veritasium posted this phenomenal overview of how ASML created the only machinery that does this reliably on a commercial scale. It's a bit scary how much the world relies on this one company to manufacture basically all of the latest chip technology - we sure have put a lot of eggs into just a few baskets that are currently propping up basically the entire US economy. Anyway, this was a great end-of-the-year watch!
